GLOBE 2026 Session 3.3

This academic session presents research on the institutional regulation of hypermarket diffusion in France, digital traceability and circular value creation in Portugal's agri-food sector, and the influence of official tourism websites on destination image and travel intentions. The session concludes with a study of click-and-collect retail networks and their regional effects across France. Findings emphasize that regulation reshapes retail saturation, digital technologies require institutional governance to deliver sustainable value, destination websites should prioritize usefulness and ease of use, and omnichannel retailing produces different territorial pathways rather than a simple shift from physical to digital commerce.
