In this video you will learn all about the in-person library services at Los Angeles Mission College.

The library is located in the LRC building on the top floor.

Print and Physical Collection. Most of our collection is available to check out for 28 days but there are some exceptions.

In our physical collection we have books, magazines, and newspapers, DVDs, and audio books that are available to check out.

Technology. The library is equipped with student computers, black and white printers, copy machines, a scanner. We also have headphones or usb chargers available for use in the library and there is also Wi-Fi.

Study Spaces. The library is equipped with study carrels to use along with lounge areas, open study tables, and group study rooms. Please note that the group study rooms do not need a reservation and it is first come first serve.

Research Help. During open hours Librarians are available to assist you with any research questions. No appointment is necessary simply walk into the library and find the reference desk. Here the Librarians can help you locate books, navigate databases, assist with citations, and finding resources.

Circulation. The circulation desk is where you check out Library materials. The circulation desk is also where Reserve books are located. If your professor has to place a textbook on reserve you can request a book by title here. Reserve books are available for two hour checkouts and are library use only. To check out a book or a reserve item you must know your student ID number and present a photo ID.

The Los Angeles Mission College student ID serves as your library card but the circulation desk will take other forms of identification.

Please note that only students currently enrolled in the current semester are eligible to check out materials.
